O’Brien Robinson is very proud to be a part of the largest expansion/remodel in the history of Madison County Community Hospital. O’Brien Robinson interviewed against several of the largest General Contractors in Central Ohio and was awarded this complex project because of their “big company infrastructure with a small company mentality.” The project included the demolition of 6 residential homes and areas of the hospital to create an entirely new “front” to the hospital. A new two-story, 24,000 s/f addition and a 12,000 s/f addition were constructed to create a new Emergency Department. During the project, the Team relocated 10 cancer stations to the second floor of the new addition and added new office space for specialists who operate The James Cancer Center located in the hospital now. During the project, O’Brien Robinson also relocated the “power plant” that provides energy to the entire hospital. This was done with no disruption to the hospital’s operation. This project, to date, is the largest project that O’Brien Robinson has ever completed and has opened the door for many opportunities!
